drupal6-mod-views software package provides views modules for Drupal 6, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install drupal6-mod-views
drupal6-mod-views is installed in your system.
Make ensure the drupal6-mod-views package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep drupal6-mod-views *
You will get with drupal6-mod-views package name, version, architecture and description in a table
